May have a problem

I was watching Netflix yesterday when a message flashed on the tv screen.

"Cam Billet requests access"  With accept or decline options. I clicked on decline.

What is going on and what do I need to do? Cameron Billet lives next door.

Re: May have a problem

Your TV is probably capable of screen casting (Mirroring) or screen sharing. This means a mobile device can 'cast' what's displayed on its screen to a TV.

https://www.cnet.com/how-to/cast-and-mirror-an-android-screen-to-your-tv-in-three-easy-steps/

Your neighbour probably did it by accident.

You can disable it in your TV settings if you want.

Re: May have a problem

Thanks for your help Carl.

Being in my late 70s and not being a computer whizz kid like the young lad next door, l assumed

the worst and thought that he may have been up to something. Time will tell, as the saying goes.

🥂

Re: May have a problem

Hi Peter,

If it comes up again just ignore it, as you already have.

Nothing to be concerned about.

It's happened to me a few times when a neighbour was playing with a new toy (TV or phone), I assume!
