My mum unfortunately opened a phishing email from her @ntlworld.com email address and provided her email login and password to the sender. She realised what she did straight away, and changed her password 5 minutes later. She has also gone onto her email and hit the 'quit other sessions' button. We have made sure auto forward also isn't enabled. The email has been forwarded to phishing@virginmedia as well as per the Internet security help section on the website.
Thankfully the password she handed over was unique to her Virgin Media account. However she's worried that her details were compromised briefly, especially her emails as naturally these contain sensitive information. Is there anything further we can do to protect the account? Can we contact Virgin Media to ensure any other sessions with her account are logged out from, so the phisher cannot log back in as the password had changed?
