Is this a scam

I have received three calls over the last four days from 01558452667. It is a recorded female voice, who does not say a business name.  She says she has been asked to call me by my internet supplier as there has been some illegal activity on my internet and my internet will be cut off.  I am asked to speak to a technical advisor by pressing 1 on the keyboard.

Is this a scam?

Re: Is this a scam

it is - just ignore it - block the number if you can but they are likely to change it and keep calling

Re: Is this a scam

Unfortunately, blocking the number will not help.

Scammers always "spoof" (fake /falsify) the phone number that appears in caller display.

If the same outfit calls you again (and they almost certainly will although the content of the call may be slightly different) it will show up as a different number altogether.
