INCAPSULA

BLOCKED

Some web sites are blocking my ip address and displaying a proxy ip address

it is blocked by incapdns (incapsula) north america

could this be because I am using open dns?

it happens both on my laptop or my android tablet so not a computer fault so that only leaves hub3 or dns settings on my devices set to open dns, but why would it block the dns?

It says  there is a threat from my computer  so the web site protects itself, happens with just a few websites but would like some help on this one.

should I revert my dns back to virgin dns?  is the dns corrupted, just started to happen, usually works the other way round by open dns blocking sites with no current certificate.

baffled !

Re: INCAPSULA

checked my ip for blacklist on 3 sites, two said not blacklisted.

only one site listed blacklist as follows-

sorbs aggregate zone

sorbs dynamic ip addresses

not sure why this is but can restrict searches, or if it is my ip or down to virgin dynamic ip address but is only occasionally, usually on usa sites.

is there a difference between blocklisted and blacklisted or are they the same?

would a vpn resolve issue?

Re: INCAPSULA

Spam and Open Relay Blocking System, aka SORBS,has nothing to do with Impervạ's Incapsula service. You will need to get in touch with the website operator to report the issue and request they unblock your IP Address to enable access.

BTW can you state which website is causing the issue?

Re: INCAPSULA

How it works

Varnish adds the following header to HTTP responses that it handles:

X-Varnish

You should be able to see that Varnish is working on your site by inspecting the response headers and looking for that header. Or, enter your URL above and my tool will find it for you 🙂

Sometimes, Varnish is up and running but not working properly. This tool also checks the

X-Cache

header to ensure that the content being served is cached - indicated by a HIT value.

Re: INCAPSULA

will try to do that (email them), problem on various websites being blocked with errors different in each case

usual fixes do not work tried no browser extension , cleared browsing data, switched off firewall, even tried vpn  (different ip address) nothing fixes it.

tried  changing dns reverted to virgin dns still blocked.

my only conclusion is that many American sites are blocked for some reason, it is not ip, firewall, browser extension or browsing history or dns

so must be other reasons? will scan  for malware.

Re: INCAPSULA

Hello

I have tried both normal VM connection and also VPN and both blocked by the website, the webpage tells you that you are blocked it is blocked by IP on the server, did  some further checks and even being blocked on a data connection with Vodaphone.
