Hub4 upgrade scam?

I received an email a few days ago telling me I was eligible for a Hub 4 upgrade. The sender email seemed legitimate (same as previuos Virgin Media emails received), so placed the order though the website, only giving name, address and delivery date option. Spoke to customer services on the phone as hub didn't arrive and they have no record of the email or order and don't know if its a scam or not. Anyone received a similar email or know whether this is legit or a scam?

The Hub 4 upgrade email,  "scam or genuine offer?" question has already come up on a different part of this forum.

It would seem it is not a scam. Here is a link to some information about the offer. https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2020/04/virgin-media-to-extend-hub-4-availability-for-wifi-boo...

Here is the link to the other post. It is a long one but you can read through to see how it developed.https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Networking-and-WiFi/Hub-4-upgrade-link/td-p/4381416

Double check that it refers to the same email that you received but it certainly sounds the same. You will see that one poster on that  thread contacted VM customer services and got the same "it's a scam" message that you did which is quite shocking.😮
