Free iPhone

I received a text thanking me for pay my bill on time and I am getting a free iPone 11.

i smell a rat. Theses phones cost hundreds and hundred oof pounds.

I would like to believe it’s a nice gesture but there’s so much scum scammers around.

If it is genuine you probably have to sign up to an expensive Virgin Media contract

Re: Free iPhone

Had you recently paid a Virginmedia bill?
It’s possibly a scam. If not then it’s advertisement for VM mobile offering free iPhone 11 for a monthly fee.

Re: Free iPhone

is there a link. don't click on it. if it is just a message and also does not ask for a reply then maybe it is real. the wording you use though 'thanking me for pay my bill on time and I am getting a free iPhone 11' sounds ludicrous. i paid my bill but have had no offers of iphones. it reminds me of a sky scam from a few years ago. someone was promised a car if they paid upfront for a year as a thank you.

Re: Free iPhone

If it sounds too good to be true then it's probably a scam.

You can usually tell by the spelling mistakes, poor grammar as well.

If there's a phone number showing who it's from you can probably google it and see if it brings anything up.

Good call on spelling and grammar, but in your reply it should be whom not who.
