My virgin.net email account has been hacked
My password has been changed along with the security answer
Have tried to call and webchat without help. This is a standalone email account, not linked to a virgin media account

@Claret1966 It may not have been hacked, it may simply be in the process of being closed down.
All Virgin media email accounts, including the legacy domains, need to be tied to a current VM broadband account for continued operation.

I also received emails within a few minutes of one saying my password had been changed to reset other accounts so I believe it's been hacked rather than closed.
I'll certainly be closing it once I can gain access to it again
The VM Forum Team should be able to help you with this.
They probably won't be able to get access back but can ensure the account is fully closed down.
They will respond here in due course.

I'm sorry to hear that your account has been hacked, as @Graham_A stated, we won't be able to be able to allow you to access this again but we can close the account down for you.
I will send over a private message, so that we can confirm the affected email address, please look out for the purple envelope.

This has now been logged with our IT team and once this has been completed, I will be in touch to confirm with you that the address has been deleted.
I have just heard back from the IT team that your mailbox has now been deleted and removed from our systems.
