Hi, I received an email titled quick question . It was from my own email address which immediately raised suspicion. The content was asking do you use Amazon.
It stopped me being allowed to access my email account. Then of course all my contacts were receiving the same email message from me !
I managed to get into my email 'Mail ' settings on my Macpro and found in the filters and other areas that settings had been changed. Sorted that out and changed my password and the Mail account is working again. However, my Virginmedia email account ( and my wife's attached to mine ) is disabled. I can't see how to get this active again.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Ray

AFAIK resetting the account password results in the deactivation of the other email accounts. To correct this select Edit options for each account and re-enter the password for Incoming and, if required, Outgoing settings then select Save.
