Does a pinhole reset remove any existing firmware updates?

As per the subject title I would like to know whether or not resetting my router (Hub 3.0) via the pinhole removes any existing firmware updates or if this method only resets user configuration settings?

If the former is true then I would also like to know if the firmware being reverted to an earlier state poses any security vulnerabilities to my network/router?

If you were to perform a pin hole reset on the hub, this would just reset the configuration settings on your hub and not effect the current firmware on the hub.

Do feel free to report back to us after the reset has been completed if you require any further guidance.
