Data breach

I had this pop up when i.logged directly into my emails....no app or anything. I didn't click on the link but changed my password via virgin media website.

Is this a legitimate pop up from virgin please?

Re: Data breach

Re: Data breach

It's this

https://blog.google/technology/safety-security/password-checkup/

It basically means that the password you're using for Virgin Media is on a list of passwords that have made it to lists for passwords on the Internet. If they are Google will recommend you change them.

Re: Data breach

AFAICS the warning is generated by newer web browsers when authentication credential are detected as having appeared in a data breach however that  does not necessarily mean it occurred on the website you are authenticating to at the time.

Did you reuse your Virgin Media password with other services where the username was your email address? Check if your email address was involved in a data breach here, https://haveibeenpwned.com

As a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share my knowledge. I don't work for Virgin Media.
