Data Harvesting

Sadly,

It appears that Virgin Media is data harvesting.

https://www.virginmedia.com/postcode-checker

https://store.virginmedia.com/whereyoulive/your-details

If i am checking if i can get broadband in my area.

I remember Virgin Media never used to ask for your details for a simple postcode check to see if you could get broadband in your area.

Why would you need my name, address, email and phone number to tell me if i can get broadband ?

Re: Data Harvesting

@Dominatez  I have just tried those links and was able to complete the request with just the postcode. I did see a phone number field but it was marked as optional.

Link 1 requires a postcode and house number and nothing more if it confirms you are in a VM area.

I am assuming you get link 2 if you are not yet in a VM area. Having completed link 1, link 2 becomes part-populated if visiting the page afterwards.

How else can VM contact you if they plan to install in your area without providing them with contact information? If you don't want to provide info, just keep visiting link 1 only.
