A week ago on Sunday just gone I received a text to state that services might be interrupted due to service/maintenance between 9am and 5pm on the 19/10/20
Last night, I received a reminder of this.
Today at 9am on the dot my services were interrupted. All this is fine.
However out of curiosity I looked up the number behind the SMS - 07418343010 - and it's rife with scam warnings, cons originating outside of the UK etc.
Given the timeline and fact my broadband/TV went offline as stated the number, logically, must be legitimate but why then are there so many people reporting that it;s a phishing number?
If someone could just confirm that 07418343010 is indeed a VM number or not I would appreciate it.

Right but VM should be able to confirm that they also use this number.

Fair point, but with the current level of caller ID spoofing what value is there in such confirmation?
