Avast says DNS queries on your device have been hijacked.

Avast wifi inspector says router is not secured and dns queries have been hijacked.

It says to check DNS dresses on router and computer settings, but not sure how to do this or what they are meant to be.

Does anyone know how to do this?

We've also tried to access the Hub but it's no longer recognising our password (we are using the correct one out of the two from the bottom of the Hub).

Thanks in advance.

false positive. Most likely due to something like websafe.

Thanks so much for replying so quickly! I'm not a techie type - is there a way to know for sure if it's a false/pos?

If using Windows open a Command Shell (or terminal in other operating system), type the following command and post the result here.

nslookup example.com

Re: Avast says DNS queries on your device have been hijacked.

Avast can be a bit meh 😑 with this sort of thing and is not reliable with wi-fi scans.  I had this problem for ages (with older versions) and just ignored it as I'd altered settings myself on my 2 router setup.  It goes all "scammer" on you.  However, that said, more recently they seem to have got their act together and this no longer happens.

Does this problem will affect on banking mode of avast. I can't on avast bank mode. It always shows an error. What should I do now?
