The account holder of the broadband to our flat left the flat abruptly and left us in charge of the account and the bills, which are still in his name.
I am now trying to cancel the broadband contract and I cannot do that.
He left the password for online login with us so we could pay the bills. However, I phoned up and the password they required to cancel the account was different.
How can I go about cancelling the contract? I have the details of our home phone number, account number, email and online password?
Only the account holder can cancel the account, did he do a transfer of ownership of the account before he left ?
You can find info here - https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-media-account-change-name
If he didn't transfer the ownership then you will need to contact him to get that done.
