A device using your internet connection may be infected with malware

I have had four emails from you about this. I have ran multiple virus scans on all my devices attached to my network that I can, 1 pc, 1 android phone, 1 android tv box, 1 android tablet. I am not able to scan the other 2 devices, a samsung smart tv and my Virgin V6 box.

None of the scans have found any viruses or malware.

The latest email has suggested that my PC is infected with the rat-orcus malware.

On 24 July 2022, one detected that likely-rat-orcus , a piece of malware, was present on a device using your internet connection.

I have ran several scans for this and these have also found nothing.

Can you provide me with further information as to why they think I have this problem, as I can find no trace of it.

regards

Bob Nelson

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear you're having an issue with this.

We don't hold any further information I'm afraid other than what's already been sent to you.

It may be worth doing a pin hole reset on the Hub to disconnect all devices and then add them back on one by one in case there is a rouge device you've forgotten about.

This will hopefully resolve things for you then.

Keep us posted on how you get on.

Thanks,
