upgraded from hub3 to hub4,no connection and red light

On our wavelength

upgraded our contract as it was at the end of life and were sent a new hub 4,

so new hub 4 came today,followed instructions and its just sat with red light on no connection.

starts off white flashing then goes red after a few minutes.

left it a few hours no change,rebooted same.

logged into hub interface and it goes thru a series of errors looking like its trying to connect to VM,

probs

ds scanning
Registration failure
Requesting CM IP address
online

rinse repeat

contacted the 0800 number,person on end said she activated the package and should be on now,well its been a while and nothing still sat with red light on.

 

any ideas?

Try your hub3 and if it works then the hub4 has not been activated.

tried hub 3 no network,cant even connect to it via the 192 address,

hub 4 plugged back in same as before only connect via 192 address.

having to use mobile as tether at the moment.

Sorry to hear about the issue with activation your new hub.
So I can take a look at this and see what is causing the issue.

got back in touch with VM,nice lady on the other end said the other person had tried to activate the old hub 3 not the hub 4...good job i didnt just sit on my ass waiting for the engineer they had booked,

she asked for mac address and did it right there and then,hub updated and 10 mins later all working 1tb down and 60 up.

I have just checked the Hub and can see its connected now and showing online.

How are things from your side?
