i upgraded from 350 to 1gb. I got the hub 4 in the box but no additional cables so i used the cables i had from the hub 3 (this is the isolator cable and the connector cable as seen in the virgin installation video).
My speeds are all over the place (Download right now is is 337.22 Mbps Upload 49.22 Mbps)
Speed test from my Router
So I called virgin customer services last night (literally an hour conversation which i was mostly on hold) to be told theres nothing wrong with the hub 3 cables so they wont send them out and I should get full speed in 1 week by the 16/05/21 as it takes the hub 4 1 week to "adjust" so essentially im paying for 1gb when im getting speeds roughly less than what i had before.
To get straight to the point the speeds im gettin are shocking.
i have the hub in modem mode connected with a cat 8 cable to a tp-link.Archer AX11000 Tri-Band Gaming Router.
Whats happening? does it take a week to normalise? anyone else had this issue?
On the topic of "bedding in", you've been fed a load of bull droppings. There's no optimisation that occurs with a new cable connection. Chances are that the noise or power levels are out. They may have been marginal before, and the greater demands of higher speed has pushed them over the edge. Probably needs a technician visit to check things out.

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear the upgrade hasn't gone to plan in terms of the speeds.
I have checked the Hub stats today and can see the downstream power levels are low. They are in spec but only just so I would like to arrange for an engineer to come to take a look at this for you. I just need to confirm the address to ensure we are booking the visit on the correct account.
I have sent you a private message regarding this. Just click on the little plum envelope at the top right hand side of the page to access your inbox.
