poor installation

How can I complain to VirginMedia and what can I do? We had our cable installed in March and everything seemed fine until we needed to clean the surface drain pipe along the front of the house. We saw that the surface drain pipe has been drilled through in order to pass the cable through. I don't know why the cable didn't go under the drain pipe, and the cable is too high. On top of that when drilling through the drain, it's got a hairline crack. I sent an email to VirginMedia via help and support over a week ago. No answer. What else can I do? Also the rep at the door promised £25.50 instead of £26.50. That never happened. I appreciate I was unwise to accept such a promise at the door. I suppose I didn’t expect a bare-face lie from Virgin Media (I can hear ‘oh really?’)

You can try posting some photos of the damage on here. The VM forum staff may be able to refer them on but don't expect too much to happen from VM.

Similar past topics on here though, ref. property damage, recount a tale of VM giving the customer the run around for a very long time with no actual repairs taking place.

Door to door sales have a long list of requirements for making the sale

Did the sales agent comply with these?

You seem to have two sets of (linked) problems to do with the installation but that happened quite a few months ago now.

Suggest you contact Citizens Advice and go through both sets of problems with them so they can give you accurate advice on how to proceed.
