not able to sign up - despite leaflet saying full fibre available

Hoping someone in the community can help.

My street has recently had VirginMedia FTTP installed, the connections for it are located on the pole directly outside my house. We had literature through our door (and community liaison from VM knocking on each door to discuss it) a number of months ago.
I can't, however, sign up for the service. Entering my postcode says there is no service or no plans to install a service.
