intermittent broadband connection - No ranging response received, RCS Partial Service, Lost MDD Timeout

Hi,

I've been having intermittent connection problems for a while now. This has been exacerbated since my work insisted on using Microsoft Teams for remote working. Since I am stuck at home trying to connect globally this has become an urgent issue for me to resolve. 

I have the Hub 3.0 and am usually connecting via wifi. Unfortunately, the office is the furthest room in the house from the cable access point and thus the Hub's location. I have tried moving it to a couple of places the cable will stretch too but the connection problems persist. Although the wifi signal is showing an acceptable 3 bar connection (Windows 10) I have connected an Edimax wifi range extender (ew-7438RPn Mini) to boost the range and connect through that sometimes too.

Welcome to our Community and thanks so much for your first post - I was sorry to understand that you've been having some issues with your broadband connection recently. I have not been able to locate your account from your forum information to do any checks so I'll pop you a Private Message so we can take a look. Please look out for a Purple Envelope in the top right of the page and pop me a reply when you can

 

In the meantime, It may also be helpful to set up a free “Broadband Quality Monitor” to continually monitor the state of your connection and record any network dropouts.  It does it 24/7/365 and it keeps a visual record of your connection. If you need any help with that please let us know.

I have located your account and can see that you have recently rebooted. We have no known area issues listed in your region, there are no errors showing and all the signal levels are within the parameters we would expect for your package. 

 

We can see that there has been a bit of network stability over the last 24 hours but we believe this will only be short term. 

 

I understand that you have signed up for a BQM as advised in my last message so when you can, please pop your results on this thread. A link to the liver version would also be helpful.
