hub install wont work and green light continues to flash

Just received the hub for our new setup and connected it up but it wont connect to the fibre. Green light continues to flash.

Help recommends checking the connections are in place. Connections are all seated fine. Broadband fibre is a really old installation that we've never used since moving into the house 6 years ago but all wires look good and the box in the house is secure.

What should I do now?

Hi Shaunathesheep

It could be that the wire on the outside wall (usually brown box) might be disconnected (simply screw the cables back on)  or the wire is disconnected at the cabinet (which will need an engineer visit) either way it sounds like a connection issue.

Did you call the activation number in the instructions?

Thanks for the replies. Strangely enough i didnt see the activation number in the install instructions. 😋

After activation it still didn't work so I have an engineer coming round next week. The virgin help line said my house isn't connected to broadband even though the box and cables are present.

So a nice engineer guy came round and connected us up in the street *no changes required in the property) and the box is now working!

Thought it would be a disconnect wire somewhere.
