configuring network settings

hello all bit disapointed with this...

Rang up to change contract and was offered 2nd box said already had 2 but wouldnt mind another v6.

Anyway box arrived today its a tivo and the outer box was battered and was re-taped by yodel..neighbour took it in.

Anyway decided to try the box and all goes up to configuring network then it sits there for hours tried the uplug leave off tried different network port on hub all stays the same.

try my old box and it fires up straight away begining to think the box is a faulty return.

Will try and continwue with other re sets and if anyone has any other ideas

Possible, did you call and activate the new box

Hi jasef,

Thank you for your post, and I'm sorry to hear about the condition of the box your TiVo® box was delivered in. 

As paultechy advised, did you call to activate the box after it arrived?

yes called to activate the box and had the text reply aswell.

tried the 30 mins off as well

I'm sorry that you box still isn't working after you had it activated. 

I have now sent you a private message so I can take a closer look at this problem from our side. 


You can access your private messages by clicking on the purple envelop which is located at the top right hand side of your screen.

hello all

seems to be ok now.....

i reset and turned off everything the boxes and the router ....ran the line test of the website waited 10mins and everything eventually fied into life

Hi Dean C, I have the new bundle with broadband, tivo box and phone. I seem to be having the same issue with configuring network settings during the Startup Checklist. Below are all ticked but then Configuring Network Settings has been loading for 24 hours. Broadband is working fine and activation confirmation was received. Any ideas?

Checking Connections 

Checking Digital Signal Levels

Checking IP Connections

Checking Cable Signal Levels

Jasef, cheers for the update. I switched off both Tivo box and router/Hub 3 and the TV has set up now.
