I very much doubt VM have replacements for the square type any more. VM only install Toby boxes now so that they can take future fibre to home connections. It would need a construction team with a permit to install these.

Here is a pic of the pair I think they are just feed through boxes. We have a pretty long drive ( 70 meters)

seems a big thing just to get two covers

but thank you for the advice

any thoughts on how I proceed?

again thanks

They are tee outlets to individual houses. As per my first post, VM no longer fit these as they are designed for coaxial cabling & not fibre.

A forum team member should be along shortly if you would like to take this further, but there are no guarantees anything will be done. I have seen literally hundreds in this state that were made from cheap plastic & installed by Virgins forerunners.

Wait for a VM forum team member to reply here in a day or two and see if VM can/will do anything.

A Google search for 'catv cover' returns some generic square cover options such as

https://www.yorkin.co.uk/product/sid-box-catv-blank/

https://www.plastics-express.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2625

if you have to resort to DIY repair options.

Sizes look like they might be somewhat bigger than the CATV covers from the past though, so may not fit. You might have to check the lid size with the manufacturer etc. plus any issues fitting on a driveway.

thanks for the reply

I have tried phoning virgin but gave up after about 20 mins ( had to get back to work )

hopefully I'll get a response here ?

Hey Gotosky, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry to see you covers didn't get replaced.

I am going to send you a PM so we can discuss this in further details and look at getting a engineer sent out for you.

Please look out for the purple envelope. Thanks

Hi Gotosky,

Thanks for coming back to Matthew on this. He is out of the office so I've picked this up in the meantime to avoid any further delays. I'm afraid we're not able to send replacement covers out so I have booked you in for the next available appointment. To view this please sign in to My Virgin Media here: My VM. Once logged in, scroll down to Orders & appointments then click on View your orders. You can also view this in the My VM app. If you have any issues with accessing your account or unable to see your visit, please do let us know and we’ll pop you another message to pass data protection and then confirm the appointment details.

Please ensure that someone over the age of 18 is at the property for the time the engineer is there. If the appointment is unsuitable or if anyone living at your property has tested positive for Coronavirus, has been asked to self-isolate or has flu-like symptoms then please reschedule the appointment on the same link. If you do miss the appointment for any reason, a £25 missed appointment charge will be applied to your account on the day of the appointment so it is important to reschedule if needed.

Lets us know how the appointment goes.

Take care.
