broadband dropping

broadband is dropping several times a day. has done for about a week. each outage lasts a few seconds or up to half an hour.

The issue occurs with multiple devices connected to the hub with cables, so it is not just the wifi.

This page https://my.virginmedia.com/faults/service-status says there is no problem, and has no option for me to report the issue. help

I created a quality monitor here. https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality

Re: broadband dropping

The most useful and up to date info comes from the 0800 561 0061 number. Try that to see if there are any faults that the web service hasn't picked up!

Re: broadband dropping

I’ve also been having the same problem and that’s with an engineer visit and new hub installed.

Nothing is listed on my service status either, when I called VM i was told about a problem that will last until OCTOBER and they can’t do anything to fix it. I need to reset my hub every time I lose connection.

Re: broadband dropping

You should start your own thread Bedge - that way VM staff stand a better chance of seeing it and can help!

Re: broadband dropping

Hi andybuckle,

Thanks for posting and sorry to see you've had some issues with your connection.

Are you able to post a live link to your BQM?

Are you noticing the issue over a wired or wireless connection?

Re: broadband dropping

all devices connected to the hub drop at the same time, including 3 connected with cables.

Re: broadband dropping

Hi andybuckle,

Thanks for including the link to your BQM.

I've been able to locate your account and can see that there is currently an ongoing SNR outage (signal to noise ratio) in your area which will be cause your connection to be intermittent.

The good news is that the outage is estimated to be fixed by 6pm - do let us know how your connection is from then. We'll be more than happy to help if you need anything else.

Beth
