Wrong socket?

Hi, I don’t have a Virgin wall socket. I have openreach fibre optic. Can I connect via this?

Re: Wrong socket?

Hello

No as Virginmedia do not use the same cabling as OpenReach, Virginmedia will need to install their own cabling.

Re: Wrong socket?

Have a look outside for a brown or grey box. Trace any coax cable from there if you have one. Sometimes internal box not fitted or has been removed.

If it’s a proper FTTP setup terminated with an ONT, I know where I’d be signing up to. 😀
