When/how does my router arrive?

Hi,

On Friday I signed up for a broadband contract for my new home and was surprised to get a phone call this morning from an engineer doing a pre install, at the property which I don't live in yet. I think he mentioned leaving a parcel under a window, but after speaking to the current occupants no parcel was there. I am really confused as I have the flu, and I just want to know if this could have been my router, or if I misinterpreted the conversation and it should arrive seperately. He was very quick to get off the phone and I was half dead. I haven't received any information that a parcel has been shipped.

Re: When/how does my router arrive?

When you signed up were you offered self-install?

This is only offered if there has been an existing feed to the property, to allow you to plug straight in, hence you would be sent the hub.

Pre-install contractors only usually visit if the property was not previously connected. In this case a Virgin technician would then follow on a second call to install internal wiring & the hub, which they would have in their van.

Re: When/how does my router arrive?

Hello,

No we weren't offered self install, and the technician had to install the line today as he mentioned needing to drill through the wall

Kind regards

Maggy
