What type of cable is it?

Hi,

What type of cable is used by vm? I accidentally sliced it in the garden. It is a black cable with a green line and hollow inside. VM won't come out until the 27th. No internet. I was wondering if there was a quick way to join it but the type of cable is confusing me.

Re: What type of cable is it?

That’s fibre. Mind you even if it was coax you shouldn’t be messing with it yourself, as signal ingress from Freeview/DAB & 4/5G mobile phones can disrupt the network.

Re: What type of cable is it?

Hello

Yep that is a fibre cable, splicing can be done but not as a DIY option due to specialist tools and knowledge is needed, I am afraid even with the knowledge only VM can do that type of job.
