Wall socket

Hello,

I an trying to set up my virgin box as I have done before however I've always had the virgin media wall socket.

In this new place there is a quadruple socket with sat1, sat2/q, tv and radio which do I plug it into?

Thank you

Re: Wall socket

If you have one of these (or similar):

Comm faceplate.jpgStandard communal antenna outlet

Then you don’t have a Virgin connection & need a manned install. These connections likely go to the distribution board for a communal antenna system, usually on the roof. They are nothing to do with Virgin.

As a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share my knowledge. I don't work for Virgin Media.

Re: Wall socket

Yes thats the kind I have.

I see I thought it would be possible to work through those ports. Okay I'll need a manned set up then

Re: Wall socket

That's an Integrated Reception System (IRS) faceplate to which VM sometimes provides service since last year. Try and connect to the TV socket, if it doesn't work you need a manned installation.
