Wall Socket Compatibility

Hi there, 

I recently signed-up with Virgin Media and booked a self-install kit delivery, after setting it all up by following the step by step guide all it does is flash green and it’s been like that for about 2 hours. 

I’m just wondering if this is potentially an issue with the wall socket as it’s not Virgin Media branded and there’s no other one in the house. I’ve provided pictures done below of the socket and the cables that run to the outside.

No pictures attached. The box could be from one of the companies that made up VM. All it needs is a threaded terminal on it to accept an F plug. It is nothing like a telephone socket.
