Waiting 5 months for installation

My original install date was booked for 16th November and I am still waiting to have Virgin Media install my services. Admittedly the first few months was waiting for the construction team install the access point (though has now been done). The external work to install the line was has been scheduled in every day for the past 2 weeks.

The pre-install team are the most unhelpful people in the world. I've heard everything from someone will be out today, to some of them claiming I was lieing and telling me the construction wasn't actually completed (despite it saying on my file that it was done). She even went to the troube to book an engineer to come out to prove the construction was done. funnily enough he has been the only person who came out at the time they said.

I have phoned up everyday for the past 2 weeks trying to get this sorted out and still nothing, getting through to a supervisor or manager is rediculously difficult. I have heard excuses like, we don't have a manager with that name, or managers are in a meeting, same even said the lady I spoke was actually a man! I honestly think I have spent close to 16 hours on the phone in the past 2 weeks now. Apparently the customer service representatives are not allowed to call me back!!

If wasn't for Virgin Media being the only cable provider in my area, and the phoneline being REALLY slow (max 20-25mbps) I would go elsewhere.

Can someone advise me on where I can go from here?

Re: Waiting 5 months for installation

Can anybody please help me with this? All I've heard everyday now is 'I'm waiting for a reply to email to the Area Field Manager. This is beyond a joke and the customer service well its a complete opposite.

Re: Waiting 5 months for installation

Yes I am, but at the moment all I'm hearing is the same old thing I've heard every day for the past few weeks. "I've sent emails and waiting to hear back". This an absolute disgrace if the only way to contact people is by email and then wait weeks on end. Something else needs to be done!

Re: Waiting 5 months for installation

Hi lordcrash101,

I've popped the agent over an email that's dealing with this to chase an update.

Re: Waiting 5 months for installation

Why can nobody give me any updates without me having to chase multiple times first? What kind of customer service are you guys running here? This is absolutely appalling!
