Virgin won’t service my area but I have an omnibox

Hi all,

I’m wondering if anyone can help me. I’ve spoken to 3 people at virgin so far but not really getting anywhere.

I’ve bought a new build house and there is a brown virgin omnibox attached to my walls with cabling in.

I’m trying to move my current virgin package with me as it’s a good deal and I’ve been very happy with the service so far. However, everyone I speak to in the movers team is saying they don’t service the area, maybe it’s old cabling from the property before hand (there wasn’t one), the area isn’t cabled by virgin etc. I’ve been told 3 times there will be a form submitted to the build team but no one is able to update me any further on this. 

What’s confusing me is why there’s a virgin box with cabling attached to my property and why other people on the development are using virgin (I’ve checked with a few) but I’m being met with walls. I also know BT can find my address easily as I have priced them up (they’re coming up much more expensive) so unsure why virgin can’t. 

Does anyone have any advice? Has anyone had this problem also? Is there another department I’m best speaking to about this who may have more information about the cabling set up?
