Virgin media "Coming soon" How soon though?

So it's broadband renewal time again and truth be told i'm holding out until Virgin media gets down this way (not a clue why it wasn't already laid as it's a new estate, alas).

Been on the website and it's a case of "Good news! It's coming soon" but I want to know how soon is it? Because if it's a couple of months then i'll hold out, if it's gonna be 12 months, well i'll go get a decent price elsewhere. 

I've seen a few vans down looking like they're checking the conduits in the pavement saying they're working on behlaf of virgin so there's at least some movement.
