Virgin media Installation

I've got an engineer booked but I've discovered a coax cable at the far end of my living room will it work with virgin media it has nothing covering it so I'm not sure if it will work or not

Are you able to provide an image of the cable as Cameron121 has stated? If you already have your box you can try connecting here but if it is not a Virgin cable then it will likely not be able to connect.
