Virgin cable box/port?

Hello!

Moved house, and having spoken to previous tenants who were on Virgin, was confident that quick start was the way to go.

Arrive and there's a fairly alien combination of boxes and cables. I also can't see the usual virgin box at the front of the house.

We're on fibre and I'm starting to worry they were on a different setup because I can't find a place to plug in.

Maybe being silly but have looked everywhere and hope somebody can help!

Thanks

Unscrew one of the cables from the splitter (The small metal box on the wall/cupboard) or buy one of these:

https://www.diy.com/departments/tristar-data-cable-coupler/571706_BQ.prd

https://www.amazon.co.uk/CDL-Micro-Connector-Satellite-Coupler/dp/B00EANNNY8/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&key...

You may want to check which cable is connected to the splitter with a 'TV' symbol, and use the other one!

Re: Virgin cable box/port?

dont complicate things initially - unscrew the cable from the bottom of the ntl wall box and attach the cable that came in the quick start kit then connect the hub and power up

assuming it works post the levels as it may have been adjusted to allow for the splitter

log into hub3 - 192.168.0.1 [or 192.168.100.1 if in modem mode] - DON'T SIGN IN, click - click router status [centre of screen] - and post the downstream and upstream figures - to see those press on the grey buttons/boxes labelled - upstream - downstream
