I recently just bought a broadband deal in which the equipment is getting delivered this week. However, My Dad has just informed me that our Virgin cable that connects into our house has been snapped from the outside.
Obviously this is going to be a problem when getting set up, how will I go about arranging this to be fixed? Will there be additional costs and how long will it take for it to be fixed as in is it a big job that's required?
I assume the house has had Virgin before, so VM will send out a QuickStart kit.
You need to ring them up and request an engineer installation.
Not sure of the best way to do it though. If you request it before the kit arrives they may charge you for the engineer installation. If you request it afterwards it may be put down as a fault fix, which is normally free.
If you are not desperate for it, wait for the kit.
Thanks for your post and welcome to the Community Forums, if the line outside is physically disconnected, it will require a technician visit. I will send you a Private Message to get your account details.
