Upgraded account but got email today with £10 extra cost/month

Upgraded my account yesterday,added Intelligent WiFi Plus service - Intelligent WiFi Pod 1 for a total cost of £43/18 months

Got email today:

Your new monthly bundle cost is: £53.00*.
Your next bill will be £61.00* which includes £3.00 to cover your changes up until your next bill period. There is also a one-off charge of £5.00 for installation or activation.

 

No mention of one-off charge yesterday and monthly cost gone up by £10

I have screenshot of order from yesterday ,so proof its £43/month for 18 months and £0 cost for activation.

Virgin- Reply please?

Hi unfortunately as this is a public forum I doubt anyone from virgin will respond on here, although some forum members (customers that contribute) may be able to explain, if you want comment from virgin I'm afraid you have to phone. Regards Micky

Just got off phone to Virgin

20 minutes  to be told it was my mistake....

I agreed an upgrade yesterday at £43 for 18 months while I had a discount ending on 22/2/2021,as in 4 days away

Seems I shouldnt have applied for the upgrade according to customer UNservices... due to my current discount ??

Seems £53 from now on is what I have to pay...

Well I told her were to stick the wifi expander......cancel that order and I`ll consider my remaining with Virgin

She really didnt give a XXXX...oh shall I start your 30 days cancellation process ?

Really poor customer services

If you just want to cancel your new contract you can do, but you need to ask that. If you are saying your going to leave they'll process a "leaving request". 

Did you expect Virgin to apologise?
