Unable to set up My VirginMedia account.

I'm trying to set up a MyVirginMedia account and keep getting a message saying:

"We are not able to set up your my Virgin Media account or Web Safe settings at the moment."

I've tried on multiple devices and multiple browsers, the same thing keeps happening. I'm creating the account on behalf of my parents who have a phone line with you, but don't have any information for logging into an online account. Everything they set up was over the phone years ago. I'm wondering if this is causing some sort of problem with setting up the account.

Sorry that you're having trouble creating an online account for your parents, I can appreciate you're keen to help. 

We would need to have a closer look at your parents account and see if an online account is already set up, or how we can help create one from here. 

Have your parents provided you with the account details and security so we can discuss the account with you?
