Unable to connect broadband into wall

I don’t have the relevant socket (F type) to connect the router to.

Re: Unable to connect broadband into wall

Do you have the external box. If yes can you trace cable from there.

Re: Unable to connect broadband into wall

Thanks for your reply, I don’t have anything to plug the router into. My BT box didn’t plug into the wall 🤔

Re: Unable to connect broadband into wall

Look outside. Is there a box on the wall?  Trace its cable through on the inside.  If there is not one you will have to call for a manned installation.

Re: Unable to connect broadband into wall

Thanks, there is a box, but sky appears to have cut any connections from it. Leaving only the cable coming through the hole in the wall to connect to the sky box 😏

Re: Unable to connect broadband into wall

That's unfortunate.  You will have to phone in for an engineer installation.  Unless a VM person picks up this thread.

Re: Unable to connect broadband into wall

Hi @Mustang67

Welcome to the forum page and thanks for posting this on here.

Sorry to hear you're  having some issues but we can certainly look into this for you.

From looking at your account, I can see that you have spoken to our team and this has been arranged for you to get a wall socket.

Is this correct? Do you still need our assistance today?

If so more than happy to help you but please do let me know 🙂

Thanks

Sasha - Forum Team

Re: Unable to connect broadband into wall

Hi Jay-b-1988,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the Community. It's great having you on board with us.

In order for services to be installed there should be a connection point for your Hub to connect to. I've checked the account and can see your services are installed and the Hub is up and running.

If you need further assistance, let us know.

Thanks,

Kath_F
