I will be installing Virgin Broadband, TV & home phone soon but just wanted to check if it matters that I have two Virgin wall sockets in different rooms from a previous owner. I will only be using one wall socket, so the other socket will have no connections. Is there likey to be any problem with this, such as degraded of weaker quality or speed.

Follow the two cables back to where they come into the house. If they are both connected to a splitter you can remove the unwanted one.

This will remove any possibility of the unterminated cable introducing interference.

It will not cause a problem. The levels are correctly adjusted for the amount of outlets you have, whether you use them ore not.

It's quite possible that one socket is inactive because its cable was cut years ago.
