Tarmac drive

I am looking at getting VM and have been told the property has not had it before and the cable will need to be run from the pavement to my house.

However, my drive is fully tarmacked, would VM dig up the tarmac to run the cable to my house?

I don’t want to waste my time or an engineers time by having someone come out and tell me they can’t do it.

Re: Tarmac drive

Hi, if you pm me some contact details I will get someone to contact you.  We would be able to do a site survey and talk through cable route

Regards

Rich

Re: Tarmac drive

Hi

I wonder what happened in the end? I have exactly the same problem which makes me reluctant to embark on a fibre installation.

Thank you

Re: Tarmac drive

No call from any VM team to discuss the cable route and update, nor the field engineer turned up yesterday or today.

Re: Tarmac drive

Hi

Sorry for not replying sooner. They didn't need to dig up the driveway in the end as they used the same trunking as our BT connection. So that may be the case for you too.

Re: Tarmac drive

@EM_22

Thanks for the update. Good for you..

Our BT cable is over ground and the provision looks archaic so I doubt VM will follow that route 🙂
