TCP LED Strip

Hi

Had an upgraded router to a hub 4. Issue is I have a TCP LED strip that had no issues connecting up to the last hub. Think it was hub 3, but won't connect to hub 4.

Have complained to tcp about this who gave a few options to try. Nothing worked , so sent out a new set. The new ser won't connect so I can only assume its the router. Everything else smart has connected. Any ideas ? Please.

The instructions for the strip lights

https://www.tcpsmart.eu/instructions/

mention that the strip lights only work on 2.4 GHz.

You could try temporarily turing off the 5 GHz wifi signal from the VM hub, then go through your strip light setup procedure and see if it works.

If it does, then try switching on the 5GHz signal again once the lights are connected/working

Alternatively you could set a different network name for 2.4 and 5 GHz but that would not be suitable if you are using VM pods, which required a combined SSID name.
