Super Hub 3 WAN disconnect

Hi All,

Thank you in advance for your help.

I had Super Hub 2 in modem / and normal mode and keep dropping internet. As it was in modem mode, I thought it was my Ubiquity Edge Router X-SFP so I reset and reload everything with reset SH2 and no luck so brought new TP-Link TL-R600VPN and setup with same problem every 4 day it drops out and take more then 6hr to connect back.

VM have changed to SH3 and I have brought new Pfsense router and configure (No fancy policy or setup) and same thing happen every 4 day it drops internet reboot SH3 and Pfsense router no luck.

Any one from VM or anyone can please help, as SH3 go back to 1970 date itself (See Below)

Have you checked the 'Check Service Status' at the top of the page ?

If nothing is showing try phoning 0800 561 0061, this will tell you of more local issues that may be affecting the area. Be aware that it isn't a manned line.

Go round all the accessible co-ax connections and ensure that they are finger tight.

If everything above is OK we need do some more troubleshooting; to start with …

 

Can you set up a Broadband Quality Monitor (BQM) at thinkbroadband.com - this will give you an insight into what is happening with the signal at the other side of the Hub, it will take a few hours to get any kind of trend showing although you should post the link straight away.

Post a link to your BQM on here.

Instructions for posting BQM Link

Under your BQM graph are two links in red.

Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate.

Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see.

On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon)

In the URL box paste the link you copied and in the ‘text to display’ box write My BQM then click OK - you can post the link straight away.

Hi MikeRObbo,

Thank you for update, yes status Page all ok working fine, as VM Engineer came and checked every thing all connection including cable from my house to payment and on Green box at end of street.

I have BQM Link below.

As I have stated before it happens every 4 days and I thought it was my router and I have changed 3 routers so far so I know it’s not modem, also many other VM Broadband uses have same issue.

Issue: Not getting IP from WAN interface it gives 192.168.100.2 then it gives 77.xx.xx.xx address after rebooting router many times.

maybe try a reset of the hub?

You can get a switch with port mirror to a port by a USB to Ethernet and VLAN two ports untagged between the hub (in modem mode) and router then Wireshark with filter:
port 67 or port 68 or arp
