looks right the incoming cable has been capped


Remove the cap from the lose cable and connect it to the IN on the spiltter
Then connect your new cable to the output .

the connected cable most likely does to another TV point

either capped or a male / male adaptor screwed on.

Can you tale the cap / adaptor off the cable nut ?

Old fitting screw on cable new cable wont

New cable smaller width wont fit over where its screws in ??? Cannot contact Virgin  im 86 not easy on the floor il post screw better tommorow ok

I think Virign needs to think about what it deems a eligible self install.

Seem's like they consider any house with a cable running to it eligible and not really taking much noitce of age of install or even if the install has been  used in recent history (so may no longer exist inside the property)
