Sky sports - could not play channel

Hi problem arising when trying to watch Sky sports on registered device linked to Tv Go. Message appears “ Could not play channel. Your subscription doesn’t allow you to watch this programme. You can upgrade by visiting sky.com” Tried deleting and reloading app but no joy.

Frustrating as appears to be no reason why. Device is authorised and max no. not exceeded.

Any ideas?

Hi cartomkate,

You need to download and use the Sky Sports app to watch Sky Sports channels, not the TV Go app.

Also you can only stream one connection at a time with the Sky Sports app.

The same applies if using TV Go on a computer, you need to use the Sky Sports web browser to watch Sky Sports channels.

Hi thanks for prompt response. 

The challenge is that  the message came up when using the Sky sports app that has been downloaded. It has worked in the past for months so am familiar with the need for the Sky app. 

Any other thoughts?
