Setting up a fibre connection to a new build

Hello

I am having a problem ordering VM broadband to a new build property, and I can see that multiple other people have had the same problem as I am having.

I will be moving into a relatively new build apartment block in an area with a lot of older properties. When checking online for the flat I will be moving into I always get an error the first time I try and then it says that only standard broadband speeds are available at that location. I have checked other properties in the post code and even next door and they all have fibre connections so the area in general is connected, however this building, probably due to its newness, has been missed.

I would like to arrange a fibre connection. I have been in contact with the property management company and they have also been trying to get the flats connected to Virgin Media fibre, however they have been unable to do so as of yet. I imagine this is a perfect opportunity for Virgin media to connect a building of nine flats, occupied by young professionals, who presumably would pay for a faster connection

I have phoned up the relevant connections support team who said they would file for a spotter engineer to be sent out. I have not heard anything else regarding this since contacting over a week ago. I know that a lot of people have had poor experiences in trying to get a new build connected and I have had similar experiences with Virgin Media for other issues, so I would appreciate it if this could be escalated to the appropriate place in order that it can be resolved

This was on the 20th July 

Sorry you haven't heard anything back just yet.

We do advise 14 working days and not 14 days, however sometimes they can be a little longer to reach out.
