So.. long story short is that when I had my initial virgin install the tech wouldn’t install my second box due to wanting it in my bedroom in the second floor of my house. he said if I arranged for the hole to be drilled and I installed the cable (he left me) he would come back and connect it in.
so I was wondering, so I know where to run the cable, does he connect this to the brown omni box outside of my property or does he connect it to the white internal box he placed during the initial set up?
If he connects it straight into the brown omni box outside, does he install a second white internal box upstairs in the bedroom, or does the coax go straight into the back of the second V6?
i don’t want to tack the cable outside the house just to realise I’ve done it in the wrong place !
I tried, but apparently the installer is no longer replying to my text.. so I contacted VM who is going to send another installer out but because it’s more than one floor high, it’s a Health and safety issue apparently... so I agreed to run the cable
Thanks.. I kinda appreciate that a second floor install is outta the norm for VM, however I am going to install the cable myself externally, just need to know wether to route it to the omni box, or to to the white internal box where the coax comes in for my ground floor install ?
oh second floor. I read it as bedroom first floor.
The cable then needs to connect to the omibox on the outside (brown normally) and it will have a port fitted on the inside. leave plenty of cable on both ends so the installer can cut off what he doesn't need, (about 1m on each end would be plenty
