Routers from different providers

Hi. I’ve just ordered Virgin Broadband. My housemate, who has BT, is worried that my router will interfere with his when I’m installed. Can it be installed without interfering with his BT router? Thanks

Re: Routers from different providers

As Virgin uses different infrastructure to BT connections it wouldn't interfere or replace his connection in that way at all.

It's possible that WiFi signals 'could' interfere but unlikely to be an issue.

If I've helped please let me know 🙂 Matt

Re: Routers from different providers

if the wifi signals are on the same channels then they could interfere with each other however most routers nowadays will search for a clear channel so it should be fine.
If you have issues i would suggest logging into the settings for each router and set the channels manually so they are kept apart.
