Router red light

My router is showing a flashing red light.

It has open space either side but when I use the diagnostic tool to find the issue virgin media tells me it's over heating and it doesn't even feel warm to the touch 

I've tried powering it down and pressing the reset button but none have worked

I am so sorry that you have faced this issue with your Hub and thank you again for you posting. As a reboot has been tried but has not improved things I do think it would be best for us to arrange an engineer to come and take a look, which we will arrange via a private message.
