Hey there Virgin,
Over the recent years I’ve gotten better broadband swapping from TalkTalk to Sky. But recently, both broadbands and many others are low speeds and I checked virgin media and it says no services but at the top of my street and the street next to mine has virgin media available my postcode is NE28 0LB and there’s Virgin media available at NE28 0PN right next to my street I was wondering if I could request cables to be installed?

It costs many thousands of pounds to cable a new street. VM would only do this if there is a proven demand from many houses there, AND there is sufficient unused technical capacity in the network. It's most unlikely they will do this.
Unless you are in a remote rural area, Openreach will be upgrading your existing connection to fibre. You can check on their website when this might happen.

You have the old problem that you live in a “legacy” network area.
These cable builds go back to the “dawn’ of cable services in the UK (early 1990s) & were built all over the UK by 30 odd different providers. These networks are of a type called HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) , where the fibre cabinets are about 1kM apart, feeding a network of coaxial cabinets. These can only take a finite number of connections before the service starts to suffer degradation, & were never built with expansion in mind. So you can basically forget about any existing HFC infrastructure. You cannot be fed from that. In order to service the road it will require fibre overbuild back to the node cabinet, which as already stated could be 1kM away. VM are in the process of moving on from cable services to being all fibre, so in a few years time you might be serviceable.
