Dear Community,
We are living in Highcliffe, Dorset in a block of apartments. The area is mostly houses and I can see that all houses have Virgin service. Out apartment block don't 😞 We only have Sky Broadband (ADSL) with pathetic speeds (50ish Mbps).
I am working from home and had enough of the sluggish internet speeds. I was thinking if I can ask all the tenants in the block (20 apartments) that they want better service and go with the list to Virgin Media to provide their services and get 20 new customers in an instant.
Does this makes sense? Could this work?
Please let me know!
Cheers

You can always ask the question but ...
In reality, 20 flats is not that great a number for the level of effort/expense VM would have to put in to make it happen (even if all 20 actually signed up to VM). Aside from the work to bring in the cable to the building and do the fit out for each flat, you would be relying on 20 flat occupiers actually being interested. Some of those may be renting and have no authority to agree such work, some may just not be interested at all. VM's admin would involve gaining wayleave/permission from all interested parties such as the freeholder, building management agents and leaseholders of individual flats.
Someone from VM will reply here within a few days and may offer to take your details. Don't be too surprised though if you hear no more about thereafter.

Hi @martonn
Thanks for posting on our community forum!
Sorry to hear we don't currently service your area yet and thank you for your interest.
If you have registered your interest via our postcode checker then once enough interest has been generated and if our team deem the area viable to service they would do so automatically. This isn't something we would be able to do manually unfortunately.
